11. Class Tripped

Austin Davenport and his lovable crew hit the great outdoors and the great outdoors hit back!

The students in the graduating class of Cherry Avenue Middle School eagerly await their eighth-grade class trip, typically an extravagant affair. Just Charles thinks they’re drinking tea with the Queen of England. Austin is looking forward to a couples’ massage with Sophie and lounging by the pool. Ditzy Dayna thinks they might visit the Man in the Moon. So this coddled crew doesn’t know what to do when their miserly principal cuts the budget and sends them down the river. Literally. Even with paddles, they’re not exactly equipped to go with the flow and handle all the mayhem heading toward them.

When a storm hits, Austin and the others are separated from the rest of the class, leading them on a wild moose chase (literally) as they try to survive the less-than-glorious vacation.

It’s man, woman, and child against nature. And of course, there will be a whole lot of Austin vs. Randy.

Will Austin get eaten by a bear? Randy hopes so and is even taking bets on it.

Will Mr. Gifford find love in the most unlikeliest of places?

Does soggy food still taste better than Cherry Avenue cafeteria’s curious chicken? Yes. Yes, it does.

Will the crew come together and make it out alive or will things devolve like Lord of the Flies?

Can Austin find his inner outdoorsman and save the day? We all know that’s unlikely, but at least you’ll LOL as he tries.
